Pools: The pools actually have LESS chlorine than the water does! If it weren't for the pee... oh never mind, there's probably less of that too! Public pools are quickly disappearing. Mound City Pool died a few years ago because nobody cared to maintain it, you can visit the remnants of the pool house next to Food Fail.
The 2600 acre La Cygne Lake is open year round... but... No swimming or water skiing allowed... There is a marina and it has groceries, fishing supplies, live bait, fishing and hunting licenses, and big game tags Marina Summer hours: Monday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Tuesday CLOSED Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Friday and Saturday 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM Marina Winter hours: Monday and Tuesday CLOSED Wednesday through Sunday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Cabins are available for rent all year. Make a reservation by calling the Park. Campsites are available on a first come first served basis. |
